Hey there everyone. Today we’re going to teach you how to make a dynamic Google Map to put on your business website. You’ll have noticed as a lot of businesses, including yours most likely, have a static map, which means the user cant really zoom in or out, and therefore it’s not very convenient for customers to find out how
to get to your place of business So I’m going to show you how to install a
dynamic Google map. W’re going to do this on our JimsPhysio.com sample website we built. In case you
haven’t seen any of our tutorials before we actually show you
how to build this website from beginning to end. It’s basically
a two thousand dollar website, and it won’t cost you a thing.
So if you haven’t seen that video, it’s about an hour and 20 minutes long. Go and see that first. The first thing you need to do is go to Google and just search for Google Maps. Type in your business
address in the search bar. For example, our business is located at 475 Broadway St San Francisco THen go down to this little tab here, select share and embed map. Embed map. and select the size you want your map to appear. Our website is actually quite large, I’ll show you the page
here. So it’s that area there. So you can just use a bit of trial and
error, but im going to use a size of 1000 by 400 pixels I’ll try 500. Now just get that code, copy, log into your WordPress
dashboard now You’ll know how to do that from our previous
videos So your website dot com forward slash
wp-admin Put in your username password, login.
Go to pages that’s where our contact form sits. We can delete this static map. Now go into the text tab because that’s of course the part where
you can enter HTML. and just paste that HTML that you
copied in from Google Maps and hit update.
Now if you view this page you’ll notice that the map is now dynamic. A customer, or a potential customer
can see exactly where you’re located,
zoom in and out, and basically see how to get there. it’s a lot more user friendly than
having a static map. Of course it also looks a lot more modern. I hope that helped you, see you next time.
