Business Plan Defines Goals and Objectives for Staffing Agency

My name is Michael Williams and I’m the President Chief Executive Officer for MARCS Worldwide Scientific & Medical Resources. MARC’S is an organization that is dedicated to providing qualified scientific and medical resources, staffing, personnel that can meet the needs of the scientific and medical communities. I’ve been working in this business in staffing and resources for about ten to fifteen years, greater than ten years, and I’ve always been working for someone else. It’s time that I wanted to work for myself and provide the services that I know that this industry needs. To be a successful business in today’s market, you have to have a well-developed and defined business plan. Sometimes in the early stages you have a lot of ideas – well, we had to put those ideas in writing and sometimes this is difficult for a new business when they’re first starting out, to put their ideas in black and white. We were able to do this – provide the data to our writer, and the writer developed a really professional-looking business plan, which we feel is as good, or better, than any small business organization out there. It was a moderate cost of about $2000, and was it worth it? Absolutely. Without a business plan, you have no focus, your lenders and supporters don’t know what you’re all about; your clients are only going by what you tell them, but if you have a business plan that has been formalized, put into black-and-white, and presents to them in a nice professional way, it gives everybody a focused idea of what your goals and objectives are. The best thing is that you have the freedom to pursue your own hopes and dreams – that’s what it all boils down to owning your own organization. And the sky is the limit – you can become a major organization, or you can stay where you’re at – it gives you that opportunity. You have the opportunity to be what you want to be. The size of my business right now is small, but we’re gonna grow and we’re gonna be a multi-billion dollar business I know it, I feel it, and that’s where we’re going.
