Hey my name is Leah McHenry I’m a professional recording artist. If you haven’t heard of me before that’s fine that’s cause you’re not into Celtic metal that’s my micro niche. A lot of people don’t know that there is such a thing as a micro niche my whole philosophy with my music is I stopped trying to get famous and appealing to the whole world and i really just dug in deep into my niche i just went deeper and so instead of being a little fish in a big huge pond full of other fish I decided I would be the big fish in a much smaller pond. In the same way that I don’t really know the up-and-coming artists in the country music scene, cause I don’t listen to country music you may not have heard of me in that way. Those who are into celtic mental they know who I am and we’re all good but that’s not why I’m here I’m here to talk to you about how to make your music SUSTAINABLE. The whole purpose of music is that it’s art and it’s meant to be shared and it’s… yeah we have our own selfish reasons for wanting to make music it makes us feel good and me personally I have to make music just to feel human – ask my husband when I stop making music what happens! Music is meant to be shared with the world it’s not meant to be kept to ourselves. If we want to be able to share our music with the world and get it out there we need it to be sustainable and you and I both know how difficult and challenging that’s become over the recent years with you know, starting with Napster and then streaming and Spotify and all of that. It’s been very frustrating you know, it’s like how are we supposed to keep making music when it’s so hard to even like make it profitable? Like, how are we supposed to get it out there? How do we find our fan base and all of that. All kinds of weird things out there promising results but i want to show you how I’ve made it sustainable. I have a very thriving music career. Teaching you what I know is one of the ways I make my income but it’s really just a passion thing on the side. My goal is to change the world. My goal is to make it a movement where musicians are not limited to the power of Spotify and streaming – that is not your destiny you can take your destiny into your own hands and make of it what you want. Okay? Provided you have good quality music that touches somebody’s soul. If you have music that touches someone’s soul then you are ready the training that I have for you. I want to teach you the Sustainable Music Map. This is just an identity thing where you can determine where you are. Most people are right here and there floundering around in the middle of the ocean and they have no plan and they have no way to know what the next step. They’ve no compass and they think that some search and rescue boat is just going to come and discover them in the middle of the ocean. And they’re not. That’s not how it works. This is the first stage and the first step that I used in my music career. It all starts with quality music and there are several things here…quality music in determining your micro niche is the very foundation upon which you will build your house to a sustainable music career. All these other things here I’m going to teach you about, they’re absolutely imperative that you master this stage. Because when you do, you can move further down the map into this more advanced zone here which is like the paid traffic. It’s the Facebook ads, it’s the retargeting it’s things I’m going to talk about here. Ninety-five percent of musicians are not ready for this. They haven’t even mastered quality music yet, they have even mastered that and then they’re wondering why they’re struggling. They think just because they put their music out on Spotify and google play and amazon, that surely if I built it they will come that’s not how it works. That’s not how this music industry works anymore. People are whining and complaining. They think that this is a worst time in music history for the artist and the musician. I’m just like, “You have no idea! This is the most amazing thing that has ever happened to us. EVER” I’m a stay-at-home mom. I have five kids, I home school and I have built myself a sustainable music career and I’m not talking about teaching you this stuff I’m talking about my actual music career. I’m so excited to be able to share this and teach this to you. This is a free training I’m giving. My intention here is to change the world. I want this to be a movement that’s empowering for musicians so I hope you’ll come with me. I’d love to share my knowledge with you everything I’ve learned as a musician as a recording artist that is making it and as a savvy businesswoman too. So I hope that you will join me and I’d love to share my knowledge with you.
