How To Build An App – eCommerce Store Mobile App In 7 Steps

Hello everyone and welcome to another
episode of apps builder school. Today I’m gonna be talking about how to create a
mobile app like a pro without any coding skills so you can start selling
your products and services and make your business visible in mobile world which
is growing constantly. Here’s the thing: hiring a developer to create your own
app usually is pretty expensive from many points of view including cost, time,
quality and communication efficiency. What if, I can tell you that you can
build your mobile app without having special knowledge, for free and in record
time. So let’s get started: go to kickappbuilder.com, select starter template
choose mobile shop template, follow through the steps of wizard and create
your first app in just a matter of seconds. Configure all the settings and
you are done so first step is passed. Now we’re going to be editing the app so I
created the same app, just the difference between your app is that I
already set up all the payment options so just don’t want to spend time
on it now, just want to demo. Let’s just edit something for the
demo purpose we can add edit image, text and all the layout elements we would
like to. We can change literally everything in our app according to our
store design. We just provide the tools. you can use them in any way you
see them more appropriate to you. The other thing I wanted to mention is that we have a preview app where we can visualize literally everything what we do here on
the website. Once we change something on the website we can synchronize in the
application so we can see exactly how it looks like as real application on device. For example let’s edit again this image so once we choose the appropriate image, we would able to see change right in seconds with powerful feature which is called “sync” so you can see all changes instantly. Choose the appropriate image, apply the changes & save. Then go to preview app and synchronize. We can see that image appeared on
the right. Now next step, we are going to be configuring all our product list, so
go to product list page, edit company name, locations, we can select all the
product categories, we can add new products so these are just default
settings, it’s like an example so we won’t touch this one, you can play with
them ourselves. So, just for the demo purpose will let default settings and we
will use them . Next we’re going to be looking into payment options. By the
way this, is just preview all the settings which waited here we can see in
the preview app. So, now we were going to payment options this is shopping cart
settings you can see a lot of different options so the most important are
merchant email and payment methods. We can choose from a variety of payment
methods like credit card and PayPal and other as well. For demo
purpose we’ll use PayPal because it supports Sandbox mode so we would be able
to test end to end transaction without doing real transaction
this means sandbox mode itself. So, let’s go and test make sure that all
the settings are set up in your page so let’s go on test on
real payments flow so I just wanted to mention that in previewer app we can
visualize all the changes we do, but we cannot test PayPal SDK because it’s
bound to specific application ID. For that matter we would order an
application , se we will install application, the real build which is
similar like the build which is going to AppStore which is called AdHoc and it’s
specific for this device. It will be installing on a specific devices so we
can open this in a separate application, same app as on the website. We can make a test purchase so let’s choose something, it doesn’t matter at this point what, we
just want to test the purchase flow so we can introduce phone number and all other optional information. Select pickup or delivery option and we select PayPal Sandbox so let’s check one more time if we set up all the options
and let’s give it a try so place the order. We can see that PayPal is initializing
so we have already logged in into account. Here is the processing starting
, we can see the progress, the purchase is complete and order is placed
successfully. One other thing I wanted to demo is just wanted to send a Push
Notification to this application. From the application dashboard go to
application there’s board Push Notification, create a message and send.
We can see that on the app it will appear immediately in announcement page, which is kind of history of notifications. Let’s just background the up and test one more time, just to see how it will behave when the
app is in background. So, we want to engage users: “Hey, here’s a new product
checkout it out”. We received the push notifications, once we tap on this notification it will open the app with a specific page. If we
don’t indicate default will be announcement. Today we walked through the process of creating an app from template, customizing product, list payment methods and finally make a purchase using PayPal SDK. At the end we sent also Push
Notifications. Let me know what do you think about this video, what do you think I can

  1. This is the most usefull and the easiest way to make an app I have ever seen (actually it is my first experience trying to create an app…). Why is it so underrated? Or maybe because it is just very new and young!
Anyway, please make some more videos so we can refer to them. Right now I am struggling to create sub-categories inside those main given default categories. How to do it?

  2. Hi. I have some questions.
    1. Does the app use different payment platforms such as visa?

    2. Can an app creator monetise his/her app through adds etc.

    3. If his/her app booms and becomes successful. Does the "creator" get all rights or are some rights shared by the servuce provider?

    Looking forward to your answer.

  3. I have built a multivendor ecommerce website and would like to convert it to a mobile app, so both desktop and mobile users can sell and buy things. Could i use your solution to do that ? Please , any hint will be appreciated. Thanks

  4. Sir Is It Completely Free Or I Have To Pay Something To Get The Created App ?
And If I Publish The App On Playstore And Then Add Some Another Product To The App Then It Will Be Automatically Updated In The App Or I have To Provide The Users With The Updated App
