Mary Portas – the changing roles of retail stores


(UPBEAT MUSIC) We’ll always have retail stores, but the role of retail stores
will change. So we’ll have less
but we’ll probably have better. It will be about creating
spaces and places where people want to be,
socialise and connect. This is going to shift
from selling stuff to actually becoming destinations where we either learn something, we socialise, and also the role of the
retail store will actually be a big communicator
for our brands in the future. So how we use them will change. And it’s more than just
creating experiences, it’s creating behaviours
that connect with people.
