My 2019 Video Business Plan

– It is so nice to be home. After a long 10 day break of
traveling to Budapest and then five days at home with no client work and then another five days in Denver, I’m back folks and I’m stoked to be turning out weekly tutorial
videos and vlogs again. In this video, I’m going to be catching you guys up on what I did over the break and some changes that are happening in 2019 that I’m quite excited about. First, I’m Amanda Horvath and I’m all about helping business
owners and entrepreneurs leverage the power of video without breaking the bank or taking
up tons of their time. If you are new to this channel, then consider subscribing
and clicking the bell to be notified every time
I release a new video. First order of business, tea time. Today before I really
ramp up on client work. I’m going to tie up a couple
loose ends from last year. I’m first going to edit a video from a friend of mine that
I trained in services with. He’s an amazing massage therapist and he did an amazing job holding
up his side of the bargain and due to my insanely
busy client calendar at the end of last year and making these YouTube videos once a week, I’ve totally fallen off and not held up my side of the bargain. I’m going to do this and then afterwards, I’m going to tell you about a couple of changes that I made over the
break within my business. Rough cut one is done and uploading and I’m pretty stoked about it. I might even see if Simon would be down to do a behind the scenes video showing his brand video and how we filmed it. We’ll see. Now I’m off to a meeting and I’m late. I was hoping to give you guys some info on the way to the meeting, but maybe not the best idea. After the meeting, I’ll
tell you what’s up in 2019. The meeting went super well. Just wrapped that up and then now finally I can tell you guys about
what I’ve been doing and what is up in 2019. The new site is up and ready for you guys to head on over and check it out. Amandahorvath.com. You can finally see all of
the videos that I’ve created and you can actually search
the videos that I’ve created so that you’re not having to go through and look at all the different thumbnails. Also on the website, you’re gonna see that there’s
a brand video coming soon, our own brand video for
the video marketing company that I run which I’m stoked about. We still haven’t had our own even though we promote it to other
people and with that, we’re making a big change in the business. What is it you ask? One second. We will only be creating
brand videos from now on for all future clients. That’s because we’re really dedicated in making an impact in the
businesses that we work with and brand videos truly are the most effective video for doing that. In an effort to help as
many people as possible, I’m also creating a DIY
brand video workshop. It’s going to be here in Austin. I’m only accepting five
people with each workshop and those people are going to learn how to write, film, and edit their brand video. If that’s something that
sounds up your alley, then head on over to the site and apply because there’s only five slots. That’s not very many folks. My final update is that I’m going to make my brand video mastery course available finally so that
anyone outside of Austin that’s looking to create a brand video can do it using the same frameworks that I use with my clients. That is not yet available, but stay tuned for that
and it will be shortly. Another exciting thing
is that I’m going to be speaking at Social Media
Week here in Austin, Texas. If you’re going to be
here during that time, then definitely check it out. I don’t know what time
that’s going to happen yet, don’t even know what I’m
going to be talking about, but I can promise you it’s gonna be good. In the meantime, follow me on whatever
social platform you prefer and I’m sure I’ll be
announcing it down the road. I hope you enjoyed this video and all of the updates that I have. We’ll be back to tutorial
videos next week. I will see you then. (upbeat guitar music)

  5. How exciting for you! Niching down is a great way to focus your business and narrow down the type of client you'd like to work with. Good luck!

  6. Love this vlog! So cool to have an inside look at your life but also get some insight and learn in the process. Thanks for sharing, cheers!

  9. Hey Amanda – I love your focus on doing brand videos. And I know they work really well. I am confident that you will find a way to convince more and more people to take the leap and create brand videos for their companies. Of course you may go close to the edge of madness in the process, but it will work!!

  10. Smashing it just like the last time I stopped by. You have such a good grip on what makes a compelling vlog! Congrats on the new website and the brand video workshop and soon coming online course. I teach visual storytelling and I'll be sure to add a few of your videos to my class playlist. Quick note: the link from your YouTube homepage is incorrect. Looks like the YouTube URL wasn't deleted before you pasted in your own URL. Keep killing it, Amanda 🌻
